What do the names Emily, Sophia, Tyler, Whitney and Jessica have in common? They are synonym of feminine power. We believe in the strength of friendship between women and, to celebrate that, we’ve created a collection dedicated to five women entrepreneurs from the digital world that, just like Josefinas, propose themselves to transform the business world.

Emily Weiss, founder and CEO of Glossier

Emily Weiss started her entrepreneur journey while she was still an intern at Vogue. There, she realized that people didn’t talk about beauty in a simple and uncomplicated way. Through only a computer, internet and a lot of will power, Emily found out that, if she wrote about products and beauty routines in search for discussion and feedback exchange between her readers, she could have a successful business. And so it was. Into The Gloss became a huge and loyal community with a reputation equivalent to Vogue’s. But Emily’s journey didn’t stop there. In 2014, she created the makeup brand Glossier: “Skin first. Makeup second. Smile always.”. Emily wanted to create a makeup brand that was simple and embraced the natural woman; in the end, she wanted to create a brand that could be your best friend. In little over 3 years, Glossier has become one of the most popular makeup brands in the world, forcing the industry to rethink and readapt itself.

Sophia Amoruso, founder of Nasty Gal and Girl Boss

Sophia Amoruso is a digital entrepreneur that discovered that failing is a part of the journey.
In 2006, a time where online businesses were, still, seen with mystery, Sophia Amoruso created a store on eBay, where she sold vintage clothes. She soon stood out: with a friendly tone and with appealing product images, Sophia created Nasty Gal, a successful business that would earn her titles such as America’s Richest Self-Made Women. Success is something that you work hard to achieve and work even harder to maintain. In 2016, ten years after its founding, Nasty Gal would declare bankruptcy. If Sophia’s ascension is incredible, even more extraordinary is the way she rose: after a defeat, with her head up high, she created Girl Boss, a feminine community whose mission is to redefine women success.

Whitney Wolfe, founder and CEO of Bumble

Tyler Haney, founder and CEO of Outdoor Voices

Think about Nike. Now think about what would be the opposite of Nike. Outdoor Voices, the sportswear brand founded by Tyler Haney, has already done it.
In 2014, the still student of the Parsons School of Design proposed to create a sportswear brand based on casual activity – no longer do we need to distinguish the gym life from the day to day life. Tyler created a powerful combination of being feminine and being athletic, which until then was nonexistent in any other brand. Outdoor Voices is synonymous of sportswear that women really want to wear: athleisure. For Tyler, it doesn’t matter if you don’t go to the gym for an intense workout; what matters is doing something and feeling good about it: #DoingThings.

Jessica Alba, founder of The Honest Company

Who doesn’t know Jessica Alba, the Hollywood movie star? Jessica proved that, besides being a successful actress, she could also be a successful businesswoman. The result was the founding of The Honest Company, a company that promotes ethical consumption because "no one should have to choose between what works and what’s good for them”.
Jessica’s way was made of “noes”. Three years and dozens pitches passed until she found someone who believed in her. Now, she is the woman in charge of an empire worth over 1,7 billion dollars.
