A light and captivating reading by Abbi Waxman, which has already accustomed us to books of which we can’t let go. “The Bookish Life of Nina Hill” speaks particularly to the hearts of book lovers and couldn’t care less about Goodreads’ challenges’ statistics. After all, how many of us have already imagined what it would be like to work in a bookstore (or library) and have time to read all the books we ever wanted?

Nina has her life under control, everything is perfectly organized (with a system developed by her, of course), and her own library. In her schedule, there is no room for the unexpected, and each event is thought out by the minute... until an unexpected turn of events revolves Nina’s world upside down.

The most introverted ones will recognize themselves in some situations, the most extroverted ones may see themselves in some of Nina’s friends, and the humor will not leave anyone indifferent.

For those who liked the suggestion of the month of July, “The Garden of Small Beginnings”, “The Bookish Life of Nina Hill” is a book that, even though it can be read by itself, reserves some surprises and highlights some characters that, appearing in Nina’s life, also refer us to the comfort of reuniting with longtime friends.
